Flourite Red is a natural porous clay gravel that is specially fractured, designed to provide a stable and durable substrate in planted freshwater aquariums. Its reddish-brown hue creates a striking aesthetic effect and highlights plant contrasts.
Natural porous clay gravel.
Stable and durable substrate.
Chemically untreated.
Does not alter the water's pH.
Flourite Red is designed to be used alone as the main substrate, but can also be mixed with other gravels according to aesthetic or technical preferences. No additives or soil modifiers, such as laterite, are necessary.
Its porous structure encourages the rooting of plants and provides a durable support for biological development. The substrate is designed to remain in place throughout the aquarium's lifespan without needing replacement.
Flourite Red is neither coated nor chemically treated and does not modify water parameters, ensuring optimal compatibility with freshwater plants and fish.
Although the substrate is pre-washed, a preliminary rinse is recommended to remove any residual dust from transport. When filling the aquarium, add water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate bed.
Place a container in the aquarium and pour the water directly into it to allow a gentle overflow onto the substrate. An initial slight turbidity is normal and will disappear with appropriate mechanical filtration.
3.5 kg bag.
Flourite Red provides an aesthetic, stable, and durable soil base for planted aquariums, without chemical impact on the water and requiring no particular long-term maintenance.
