Flourite 7 kg Seachem is a premium natural gravel specially designed for planted freshwater aquariums.

It is a fractured porous clay substrate, stable over time, offering a durable support for the development of roots of aquatic plants.

Natural substrate for planted aquarium

Flourite is particularly suitable for naturally planted aquariums, while it can also be used in any freshwater aquarium.

Its porous structure promotes beneficial bacterial colonization and root development, contributing to healthy and sustainable plant growth.

Chemical stability

Flourite is neither chemically treated nor coated with an artificial layer.

It does not alter the pH of the water and does not influence the chemical parameters of the aquarium.

It is perfectly stable over time and does not degrade.

Usage and durability

Flourite is designed to be used as the main substrate, but can also be mixed with other gravels if desired.

The addition of gravel modifiers like laterite is not necessary.

This substrate is intended to last for the lifetime of the aquarium and does not require replacement.

Installation

Although Flourite is pre-washed, rinsing is recommended before use to remove any residual dust related to transport.

When filling the aquarium, water should be added slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate bed.

It is advisable to pour the water over a support (bowl or plate) to limit the suspension of particles.

A slight initial turbidity is normal and can be removed by mechanical filtration. The use of Clarity Seachem helps speed up the clarification.
