The JBL PROAQUATEST Ca is a laboratory-type test designed to accurately measure the calcium concentration in marine aquariums. Calcium is an essential element for the growth and strength of the skeletons of corals.
Colorimetric drop test allowing reliable control of dissolved calcium. The reading is done by counting the number of drops required for the color change of the sample.
The test tube is filled with the aquarium water to be tested. The reagents are added successively according to the instructions. The number of drops required until the color change is then multiplied by 20 to obtain the calcium value expressed in mg/L.
For a reef marine aquarium, it is recommended to maintain a calcium level between 380 and 450 mg/L to promote healthy and regular coral growth.
