They are not sourced from wild captures, which facilitates their acclimatization, improves their behavior, and significantly reduces stress when introduced into your tank.
Species Description
Centropyge flavissima is a dwarf angelfish easily recognizable by its bright yellow coloration, sometimes turning to orange. In adulthood, it may display a fine electric blue outline around the eye, operculum, and sometimes the caudal fin. Some populations may show a small dark spot in the juvenile stage, generally less visible as they grow.
Behavior and Personality
Active, lively, and curious, Centropyge flavissima continuously explores live rocks and shaded areas of the decor. Territorial towards angelfish of the same genus, it is advised to keep only one individual in standard-sized aquariums. With other calm reef fish, it is generally peaceful.
Recommended Maintenance Conditions
An aquarium of at least 200 liters is recommended to keep Centropyge flavissima. The decor should include live rocks, hiding places, caves, and shaded areas. A temperature between 24°C and 28°C is perfectly suitable for this species. Its reef compatibility should be monitored, as some individuals may nip at soft corals or LPS.
Feeding
