- Each bottle contains 45,000 µg of nickel

Why use nickel in a reef aquarium?

Although nickel is not considered an essential element in a reef aquarium, excessively low levels could reduce the enzymatic activity of certain nitrifying or nitrogen-fixing bacteria (such as urease activity). Monitoring and adjusting its concentration ensure a stable microbiological balance.

Possible causes of low nickel content

- Normal situation: nickel should only be present in trace amounts
- Biological consumption by bacteria
