Comline DOC Skimmer DC 9004.1 – TUNZE

The Comline DOC Skimmer DC 9004.1 is an internal skimmer designed for marine aquariums ranging from 60 to 300 liters depending on the biological load. It combines efficiency, compactness, and silence, thanks to its 12 V low-voltage technology and its patented Flash Skimming instant skimming system. Ideal for reef marine aquariums, it effectively removes dissolved organic compounds while maintaining clear and oxygenated water.

Technology and Design

The Comline® TUNZE® range is known for its compact and elegant internal components, suitable for all types of aquariums. The 9004.1 DC integrates a surface suction system and a TUNZE® Foamer impeller pump, ensuring dense and consistent foam production. Its Anti Overfoaming chamber regulates foam formation to prevent overflow, even with water level fluctuations.

Operating under low voltage 12 V (SELV), the 9004.1 offers maximum safety and very low energy consumption. It connects directly to the Turbelle® Controller for precise adjustment of flow and skimming efficiency.

Flash Skimming Principle

The Flash Skimming is an exclusive TUNZE® process: surface water, rich in proteins, is drawn in and intensely mixed with fine air bubbles measuring 0.1 to 0.3 mm. Organic waste aggregates to these microbubbles and is extracted into the cup, while purified water returns to the aquarium. This rapid and stable system ensures efficient purification without re-releasing extracted compounds.

Maintenance

• Regularly clean the skimmer cup to maintain performance
• Rinse the skimmer body and air ducts every 4 to 6 weeks
