Flourite Black Sand is a natural porous clay substrate specially fractured to form a stable and durable soil bed in freshwater planted aquariums. Its dark appearance is particularly appreciated for highlighting plants and visual contrasts.
Natural porous clay sand.
Stable and durable substrate.
Not chemically treated.
Does not alter the pH of the water.
Flourite Black Sand is designed to be used alone as the main substrate but can also be mixed with other gravels according to aesthetic or technical preferences. No additives or substrate modifiers, like laterite, are necessary.
Its porous structure promotes plant rooting and provides a durable support for biological development. The substrate is designed to remain in place throughout the life of the aquarium without needing replacement.
Flourite Black Sand is neither coated nor chemically treated and does not cause any changes to the water parameters, making it compatible with a wide variety of freshwater plants and fish.
Although the substrate is pre-washed, rinsing is recommended before use to eliminate any residual dust from transport. When filling the aquarium, add the water slowly to avoid disturbing the substrate bed.
It is advisable to place a container in the aquarium and pour the water directly into it, allowing for gentle overflow onto the substrate. A slight initial cloudiness is normal and disappears with mechanical filtration.
7kg bag.
Flourite Black Sand provides an aesthetic, stable, and durable soil base for planted aquariums, with no chemical impact on the water and no long-term maintenance required.
